Role: Senior Project Manager - Readiness Location: Hybrid in Minnetonka, MN (3 days onsite per week, Tues-Thurs) Duration: 6/29/2026 - 12/31/2026 Rate: $61.02/hour W2
POSITION OVERVIEW: The Senior Project Manager - Readiness is responsible for leading and managing one or more cross‑departmental initiatives with a strong focus on enterprise readiness. This role ensures the organization is fully prepared to successfully execute strategic priorities, meet regulatory requirements, launch new products, and implement operational changes.
The Senior Project Manager partners with cross‑functional teams to identify readiness gaps, coordinate impacts, and ensure the organization is prepared to execute and sustain change. and is accountable for end‑to‑end project performance, including readiness planning, dependency management, timeline adherence, budget oversight, risk identification and mitigation, and delivery quality. Projects may include the evaluation and/or implementation of services, systems, or opportunities aimed at driving business process improvement, innovation, and sustainable value, as well as supporting the overall program goals.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Project Management (70%) - Partner with Business and Technology stakeholders to define and/or understand project scope, milestones, resource capacity, business outcomes, and readiness plans.
- Support Transformation Programs and Project representatives in reporting on status of readiness deliverables.
- Partner with Product Management to ensure alignment across multiple Tech teams and business stakeholders to ensure alignment across multiple divisions: role is to highlight and assist in resolving any risks or gaps in alignment for deliverables with strong focus on organizational readiness.
- Understand and report on the progress of the project MVP with key stakeholders, may include steering and portfolio management.
- Develop a critical path / business milestones and timeline in partnership with business, technology representatives and Product Management to meet business outcomes; continuously update critical path / milestones as necessary due to business decisions.
- Ensure coordination and synchronization of project related activities across all entities as required (business readiness, communications, process design, technology delivery, etc.).
- Ensure transparency and management of dependencies, issues and risks; facilitate resolution or decisions where needed.
- Hold teams accountable for their deliverables and commitments; serve as an escalation resource and help to remove obstacles and facilitate decisions.
Financial Management (10%) - Financial Management for projects assigned; ensure appropriate expenditures are applied to the project and work with program manager, financial representatives and / or Director Transformation Operations to resolve issues.
- Support development of business case(s,) partnering with program manager, business owners and across multiple workstreams such as Finance, Technology, etc.
Stakeholder Management (20%) - Collaboratively and effectively work with internal and external entities including external vendors.
- Organize, motivate, and provide leadership to cross-functional work teams from all operating areas.
- Manage executive stakeholder communications.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in related field, plus 5 years of experience beyond the degree
Specific types of experience or skills required: - 5 years of experience managing complex cross-departmental programs
- Leading cross-functional strategic and/or Transformation programs or product implementations
- 3 years of managing large project budgets in excess of $1M+
- Organizational Readiness experience required, preferably in a Healthcare
- Manage across a team of business owners, technology owners, change managers, operational readiness and training staff, with cross-functional teams upwards of 10 – 50+ people
- End-to-end program management inclusive of Agile delivery methodologies
- Strong executive communication skills and experience creating executive-level status reporting and PowerPoints
- Ability to thrive in a fast paced, ambiguous environment
- Preferred: PMP certification
- Healthcare experience, particularly working in a payer environment
- Maintain regularly assigned work schedule.
