Job Description
Role: Software Engineer/Developer (.NET) Location: Hybrid in Oak Park Heights, MN (3 days onsite) Duration: 6 months, potential to extend and/or convert Rate: $64.33/hour W2
Overview We are seeking a Software Engineer / Developer with strong .NET development experience and integration exposure, with MuleSoft experience highly preferred. This role focuses on building and supporting scalable backend services, APIs, and integrations that enable reliable data exchange across enterprise systems.
Key Responsibilities - Design, develop, and maintain backend applications and services using .NET and C#
- Build and support RESTful APIs and service‑based integrations
- Develop and enhance middleware or integration components connecting enterprise systems
- Collaborate with business analysts, integration teams, and other engineers to translate requirements into technical solutions
- Participate in system testing, integration testing, and deployment activities
- Troubleshoot and resolve application, API, and integration issues in development and production environments
- Contribute to application performance, scalability, and reliability improvements
- Create and maintain technical documentation for developed solutions
- Support ongoing enhancements, upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives
Required Qualifications - 3+ years of professional software development experience
- Strong experience with C#, .NET Framework and/or .NET Core
- Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs
- Experience working with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server)
- Solid understanding of software development lifecycle and best practices
- Strong problem‑solving and debugging skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications - Experience with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform or other integration middleware (highly preferred)
- Experience with API‑led or service‑oriented architectures
- Experience integrating enterprise systems such as ERP, CRM, or third‑party SaaS platforms
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control practices
- Experience working in Agile or iterative development environments
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
Nice to Have - MuleSoft Developer certification
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS)
- Exposure to message queues, event‑driven architecture, or asynchronous processing
- Experience supporting production systems or on‑call rotations
