Job Description
Role: Digital Content Coordinator Location: Hybrid in Cottage Grove, MN Rate: $35-45/hour W2
Role Summary The Digital Content Coordinator plays a hands‑on role in shaping, executing, and maintaining customer‑facing content across client's digital ecosystem. This role combines strong writing and editorial judgment with day‑to‑day operational work in content management systems and digital platforms to ensure content is clear, accurate, on‑brand, and effective. This role requires a natural ability to write and edit well, the judgement to curate and execute content that meets brand standards, comfort working directly in a CMS and other martech platforms, and the curiosity to connect dots and improve content as part of a broader system. This is an execution‑focused role involving a meaningful amount of detailed, tactical work. What makes the role valuable—and engaging—is the ability to understand why the work matters: how individual updates, reviews, assets, and pieces of content contribute to the larger digital experience. What You’ll Do Content Creation & Editorial Judgment - Write and edit content across a range of digital formats, including web pages, email copy, captions, video descriptions, testimonials, and campaign content
- Edit and refine content created by others, setting and maintaining a clear quality bar for voice, clarity, and usefulness
- Apply SEO and UX best practices to content without sacrificing readability or brand tone
Web Publishing & CMS Execution - Build, update, and maintain content within Sitecore and related platforms
- Ensure metadata accuracy, accessibility standards, and proper content structure
- QA content across devices and browsers for accuracy, functionality, and brand alignment
User‑Generated Content & Reputation Management - Moderate and curate reviews, testimonials, and video content, ensuring alignment with brand, legal, and quality standards
- Prepare approved UGC for use across web, email, social, and other digital channels
- Upload and optimize video content across platforms including YouTube
Digital Asset & Workflow Support - Maintain digital assets within the DAM, ensuring proper tagging, organization, and governance
- Source and perform light editing of imagery and visual assets when needed
- Compile content and assets for digital projects and support content workflows across teams
What We’re Looking For - A strong writer and editor with a natural instinct for quality content
- Comfort working directly in content management systems; Sitecore experience is preferred, but fluency in any modern CMS is valued
- Working knowledge of SEO, UX, accessibility, and digital best practices
- Highly detail-oriented and able to manage a steady stream of tactical work without losing sight of the bigger picture
- Able to work with a high degree of self‑sufficiency—someone who can figure out how to approach a task, connect the dots across systems, and ask smart questions when needed rather than relying on step‑by‑step instructions
- Curiosity about how content systems, tools, and processes work—and how they can work better
- Willingness to learn new tools and platforms as needed
