This role is ideal for someone who combines strong testing discipline with a builder mindset—someone who can create scalable test frameworks, improve processes, and step into challenges as they arise. You will play a critical role in building a new LIMS platform using contemporary testing practices, automation, and integrated quality engineering. You will work closely with product owners, developers, business analysts, LIMS specialists, and stakeholders to ensure the platform is reliable, compliant, and fit for operational use. Key Responsibilities - Design, build, and maintain a scalable automated testing framework for new and legacy LIMS applications
- Develop automated test scripts for UI, API, regression, integration, and end-to-end workflows
- Convert manual test cases into automated coverage where appropriate
- Validate critical LIMS workflows including sample lifecycle, results entry, approvals, reporting, and integrations
- Test interfaces with connected systems such as ERP platforms, instruments, reporting tools, and external data sources
- Support data validation and integrity testing using SQL and backend analysis
- Partner with business and technical teams to clarify requirements and identify quality risks early
- Troubleshoot defects, investigate root causes, and work closely with developers through resolution
- Produce test evidence and documentation aligned to compliance and audit expectations
- Track test progress, defect trends, coverage, and quality metrics
- Contribute actively in Agile ceremonies and continuous improvement initiatives
- Bring structure, ideas, and practical solutions when new challenges emerge
Required Skills & Experience - 3+ years of experience in software testing with strong hands-on test automation experience
- Proven experience building or enhancing automated test frameworks
- Experience with Microsoft Power Apps, Playwright and the Power Platform
- Strong understanding of functional, regression, system integration, and UAT support testing
- Experience with tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Postman, JUnit, or similar
- Experience working within Agile / Scrum delivery teams
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitLab, or similar
- Strong SQL / data validation skills
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and take ownership
- Effective communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Preferred Experience - Hands-on experience with LIMS platforms such as LabWare, STARLIMS, Thermo Fisher, or similar
- Experience within the Testing, Inspection & Certification (TIC) industry
- Understanding of regulated or quality-driven environments
- Experience validating systems against standards such as ISO, GxP, or 21 CFR Part 11
- Exposure to modernization of legacy systems and digital transformation programs
