Description of work / project:
The strategic comms contractor is responsible for partnering with HR and Strategy leadership to drive the messaging and communication plans for the client's strategic pillars, org level performance metrics and strategic initiatives – including our Enterprise & Product Modernization efforts in FY26.
This position drives awareness and understanding through engaging, informative and inspirational messaging, events, campaigns and channels. The strategic communications specialist is accountable for overall delivery of project scope / design, timelines, stakeholder engagement and management, contingency planning, and quality.
50% in support of ESAP and Enterprise/Product Modernization and
50% in support of Executive Communication channels, standards, consulting, metrics and improvements
Performance expectations:
- Weekly ESAP & Executive Comms
- Named Enterprise Modernization / Product Modernization change and comms plans deliverables and milestones
- Available and responsive for final reviews and some back-up to scheduled Employee Comms & unscheduled Issues Comms.
- Internal strategic communication planning and content development in alignment with company values, employee value proposition, five-year strategic plan, and strategic goals and objectives.
- Daily communications deliverables and campaign implementation management, including administering communication governance (review and approval or escalation) processes to meet communication deadlines and milestones.
- Execute strategy and continuous improvement (including evaluation) of internal events – such as lunch & learns, executive ask me anything’s – working with stakeholders & subject matter experts across the organization.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with Comms team, ESAP team, leaders, key partners, and content sources across the organization.
- Develop a strong working knowledge of company business areas and strategies, as well as applied understanding of each department and key teams.
