Job Description

Role: Implementation Specialist III - Client-Facing Tech Rationalization

Location: Remote

Rate: The hourly pay rate range for this position is expected to be $55–$65 depending on qualifications and experience, though a higher rate may be considered for exceptionally qualified candidates

Summary

The Implementation Specialist III is a senior execution role responsible for migrating clients from legacy platforms to modernized solutions as part of the client's Client-Facing Technology Rationalization initiative. They will drive platform transitions with accuracy, empathy, and strong organizational discipline while partnering closely with Business Analysts, SMEs, Change Management, Account Management, PMs, and clients.

This individual must be a self-starter, curious, and highly adept at quickly learning new platforms and understanding their nuances. They will proactively ask insightful questions of SMEs/BA partners, develop confident and structured migration plans, lead or co‑lead client calls, escalate roadblocks early, and maintain momentum toward assessed timelines.

Key Responsibilities

Migration Planning & Execution

  • Own the end-to-end execution of assigned client migrations as part of the Tech Rationalization program.
  • Rapidly learn any target platform (e.g., Response Element, Profile Manager, or future systems) well enough to configure products, workflows, user roles, pricing, and site elements.
  • Develop migration plans that clearly outline steps, dependencies, risks, and timelines.
  • Work collaboratively with the BA and Change Management to validate requirements, confirm functional gaps, and ensure readiness for configuration.

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Partner with existing platform SMEs and Business Analysts to deeply understand legacy and target functionality.
  • Work with Change Management to prepare communications, client readiness materials, training needs, and risk/contingency plans.
  • Interface with PM/Account Teams to ensure alignment on timelines, expectations, and client specific considerations.
  • When needed, coordinate with the Data Transfer Team for scenarios where historical data must be migrated (though this will be the exception, not the norm).

Client Engagement

  • Serve as a key client contact for migration, capable of leading calls, but flexible to collaborate with Account or PM teams as needed.
  • Confidently articulate migration status, next steps, risks, and decisions.
  • Manage anxious or hesitant clients with professionalism, structure, and reassurance.

Configuration & Quality

  • Configure all necessary elements in the target platform accurately and completely.
  • Validate and test configuration elements prior to client review.
  • Maintain meticulous documentation, including scope updates, configuration notes, decision logs, and approval records.
  • Raise issues and roadblocks early to leadership for direction and timely resolution.

Project Tracking & Reporting

  • Lead or participate in weekly migration calls; distribute agendas, notes, action items, and follow ups as needed.
  • Keep migrations progressing against assessed timelines; ensure stakeholders are aware of risks or delays.
  • Provide regular updates to leadership, including status, risks, and contingency steps.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or 5+ years project management or implementation experience.
  • 5+ years client facing experience in B2B settings.
  • Ability to quickly understand platform logic and ask meaningful clarifying questions to SMEs/BA resources.
  • Strong organization, multitasking, and deadline driven execution.
  • Excellent communication skills—written, verbal, and client facing.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Teams, Excel, Word, Outlook, Salesforce, or similar tools.
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating cross functionally.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience configuring complex digital platforms or order management systems.
  • Prior experience writing SOWs, scopes, or requirements.
  • PMP certification or formal project management training.
