Job Description

Role: Accounting Manager

Salary: $115K - $125K

Location: Eagan, MN - Hybrid in office 3 days a week


The Accounting Manager reports to and supports the CFO. The position is responsible for leading and performing all accounting functions including invoicing, accounts receivables / payables, processing bank transactions, month-end close process, assisting with income tax reporting, audits, and performing other duties as assigned.

 

The position requires strong technical and financial skills, flexibility, attention to detail, critical problem solving, accounting proficiency, familiarity with accounting software and the ability to work well with all levels of management. Sensitivity to confidential matters is required.


  • Manage and perform day-to-day accounting tasks, including accounts payable and receivable with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Lead the monthly client invoicing process which includes maintaining and updating accounting records.
  • Reconcile bank statements, record bank transactions and ensure timely resolution of discrepancies.
  • Assist with payroll processing and compliance requirements.
  • Perform month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, GAAP, tax regulations, and industry requirements.
  • Ensure accurate processing of sales tax, 1099s, and other regulatory filings.
  • Assist CFO with all tax planning and compliance with all required federal, state, local, payroll, property and other applicable taxes.
  • Assist with all financial audits including the annual financial audit and annual 401K audit.
  • Collaborate with external auditors, tax advisors, and banking partners as needed.
  • Assist CFO with income tax reporting, annual budget preparation, and financial and bank reporting.
  • Partner closely with sales, recruiting, and operations teams to support business growth and decision-making.
  • Provide back-up support for key finance and HR processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or related field (CPA preferred).
  • Minimum 3-5 years of accounting experience
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, income tax and financial regulatory requirements.
  • Public accounting experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (Microsoft Dynamics GP preferred) and MS Excel.
  • Advanced analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience with audits, reporting, and budgeting.
  • Independent judgement.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools with advanced excel skills.
  • A high level of confidentiality and integrity.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer-facing skills.
