Job Description

Role: IT Business Analyst

Location: Remote

Contract: 1 year

Rate: $36.50/hour W2


Skills:

·       Strategic thinking, ability to align business and technology strategies and identify gaps

·       Business process analysis, expertise in process modeling and process redesign

·       Data management and insight, competence in data requirements, data quality, and standards

·       Systems thinking and design, understand interactions, data flows, and platform integration

·       Facilitation, strong stakeholder engagement and ability to mediate across teams and roles

·       Agile mindset, comfort with lightweight documentation, iterative delivery, and ability to pivot

·       Problem solving, skills in addressing complex challenges with creativity and actionable solutions

·       Skill versatility, able to perform multiple roles Candidates should bring in specific industry best practices/skills (e.g., BPMN and agile business analysis/requirements/user stories) – and be able to “do the work.”

Requirements:

·       .NET Core C++ programming Angular Google Cloud Platform / hosting Azure DevOps Minimum of three years business analyst experience, writing technical requirements documentation and associated technical documents.

·       Business Segments: Healthcare applications

·       Application Development models/environment: Agile Scrum Product Operating Model



Job Responsibilities:

-Work with application and project teams to gather, analyze, communicate and validate the requirements for enhancements to applications, both internally developed and purchased software systems.

-Serve the team as a liaison between the various stakeholders groups to ensure requirements are fully defined according to Software Development Lifecycle and project management processes with a focus on ITIL approaches to service and knowledge management.

-Requires experience and understanding of Information Technology and Information Services environment.

-Project management proficiencies should include the ability to facilitate meetings and documentation, development, testing, communication, education, implementation, and ongoing support needs for application and quality improvement projects.

-Provide change management and governance recommendations for subsequent application releases and will review testing plans to ensure their adequacy to verify that all requirements are met sufficiently to obtain customer acceptance of all deliverables.

-Participate with groups inside and outside the department to continue the advancement of Business Analysis role in the department.

-Help the project team understand the Business Analysis process and tools being used to effectively accomplish their mission.

-Some methods and tools used to execute this function include: user interviews, document analysis, system analysis, surveys, site visits, use cases, story boarding, task and workflow analysis.


Required Skills & Experience:

-Experience with ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) based Service Management tools.

-Requires proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite.

-Requires knowledge of and experience writing and analyzing requirement specifications, exposure to and an understanding of application development methodologies and the development lifecycle.

-Requires strong skills in: problem solving, negotiation, written and verbal communication, team coordination as well as experience working with cross-functional teams of subject matter experts.

-Demonstrated ability to recognize computer related incidents and symptomatic patterns to assist in problem management and/or root/cause analysis.

-Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and create solutions to ITSM (IT Service Management) related problems.

-Has demonstrated the ability to create a network of support/business resources.

-Demonstrated ability to handle work-flow policy issues should management be unavailable.

-Exposure to managing both custom developed and vendor-supplied applications.


Preferred Skills & Experience:

-Understanding of ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) philosophy.

-Experience in working with healthcare technology.


    

Required Education:

-High School Diploma / GED and four (4) years of Business Analyst training/certification and Business Analyst experience.

OR

-Associate's degree and two (2) years' experience as a business analyst.

OR

-Bachelor's degree.
