Job Description

Role: AutoCAD Designer

Contract Position

Location: Hybrid - Greater St Paul Area, 4 days a week with Tuesday being a mandatory day

Pay Rate: $25.54-$33.26 W2 depending on qualifications and experience


Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented AutoCAD Designer to support our engineering and maintenance teams. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and updating our extensive library of technical drawings, ensuring compliance with corporate standards, and facilitating efficient access for relevant personnel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and manage an Adept library containing over 10,000 DWG, PDF, and other file types, ensuring easy searchability and accessibility for maintenance and engineering staff.
  • Uphold and enforce corporate AutoCAD drawing standards across all documentation.
  • Audit and update AutoCAD floor plans and process flow diagrams based on engineering feedback and in alignment with corporate standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary information for accurate and up-to-date drawings.
  • Ensure all drawings are properly checked out and version-controlled within the Adept system.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD software, with a strong understanding of drafting techniques and standards.
  • Experience with document management systems, preferably Adept.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to interpret and update technical drawings based on engineering input.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting is preferred
