Job Description

What will you do?

  • Perform requirements stakeholder analysis to identify impacted or influencing groups and stakeholder requirements, develop plans and accurate estimates for completion of requirements, manage risks, and communicate to appropriate parties.
  • Develop documents for IT applications, system specifications and test plans, according to existing standards and methodologies.
  • Elicit the requirements needed to carry out business processes including interviews, intelligence analysis and survey assessments.
  • Translate business needs, processes, and procedures into a workable system, and articulating on specific software requirements by communicating these requirements with technology experts and business stakeholder.
  • Collaborate with business architects and other technology staff to deliver project results while implementing risk analysis and meeting required deliverables.
  • Utilize statistical tools to interpret data sets to identify trends and patterns that could be valuable for diagnostic and predictive analytics efforts.
  • Collaborating with peer Business Analysts, Project Leads, and IT team to resolve issues and ensuring solutions are viable and consistent.
  • Mining data from primary and secondary sources, analyzing and reorganizing data in a format that can be easily read.
  • Utilize statistical tools to interpret data sets, paying particular attention to trends and patterns that could be valuable for diagnostic and predictive analytics efforts.
  • Manage relationships with external suppliers and service providers to ensure the requirements are met.


Must-have

  • 5+ years working as a Business Systems Analyst within a financial institution, preferably supporting Tax Reporting
  • Proficient in creating and maintaining business analysis artifacts - Workflows, Data flow diagrams, Data Mapping documents, User Journeys, etc.
  • Experience writing and running SQL queries to extract and analyze data large data sets as well as the ability to visualize data, etc.
  • Competent in managing JIRA and SharePoint projects, boards, and workflows.
