Job Description

Position: Commercial Lender

Location: Vermillion, MN (On-site, 5 days/week)

Salary Range: $100,000 - $150,000 (Potential for higher compensation for exceptional candidates)

PTO: 3 weeks

Overview:

Our banking client is seeking an experienced and dynamic Commercial Lender to join our team. This role is ideal for a motivated professional with a strong background in commercial lending and credit who is looking to be part of a community-focused bank that values long-term relationships. The Commercial Lender will play a crucial role in managing existing customer relationships, assessing creditworthiness, and contributing to the bank’s growth in the market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and expand existing customer relationships within the community, focusing on market work and maintaining strong connections.
  • Analyze financial statements and evaluate creditworthiness for loan requests.
  • Work independently to execute all aspects of lending from prospecting to closing.
  • Present proposals and ensure swift decision-making for each deal.
  • Maintain the bank’s strong presence in the community by participating in local events and developing a deep understanding of local market trends.
  • Provide a high level of customer service, ensuring client needs are met and expectations exceeded.
  • Collaborate with other branches as needed and demonstrate flexibility in managing market dynamics.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 5-10 years of commercial lending experience in banking. Background with midsize to larger banks is a plus but not the Chase's, Wells Fargo, or JP Morgan's of the world.
  • Skills: Strong credit analysis and communication skills with a proactive, self-sufficient approach to work. Looking for credit analyst, commercial banker route
  • Education: Background in accounting or finance is preferred.
  • Work Style: Owner/operator mindset, capable of handling all aspects of loan processing and client management.
  • Cultural Fit: Seeking a career-driven individual who wants to establish roots in the community, build long-term relationships, and contribute to the growth of the Bank.
