Job Description

We are looking for business analysts to work as integral members of a lean and highly impactful group that is part of a large international financial institution. This front-office team is responsible for driving technology transformation in support of business growth strategy, and the BA with the right skills and drive will have an opportunity to play a critical role.


PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drive delivery of key initiatives through disciplined and effective business analysis, data analysis, testing, and change management; projects that may include CRM, strategic data repository, data controls model, and business intelligence tools
  • Requirements analysis responsibilities include requirements gathering and documentation, process analysis and documentation (process flow diagrams), development of user stories and business requirements documents (BRDs), mock-ups of screens
  • Perform analysis of business requirements and data elements in support of regular and ad hoc management reporting
  • Work with the front office to define and document business requirements
  • Data analysis responsibilities include business / financial analysis, reconciliations, and monitoring as well as the establishment of data processes and controls that promote data integrity
  • Support various change management tasks including the development of user documents, drafting of change communication memos, and user training
  • Provide day-to-day support of business technologies to business users, by investigating and addressing questions that are routed to the support mailbox
  • Perform ad hoc analysis based on management's request, including
  • Analyze and identify opportunities for business process improvement and technology efficiencies
  • Quality assurance responsibilities may include test planning, refinement of user stories to include clear exit criteria, test case documentation & execution, coordination of user acceptance testing (UAT), analysis of test results, and summary of test results for team and management consumption

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS / EXPERIENCE

  • 5-8 years' experience in a hands-on BA capacity working on technology implementation and/or business transformation initiatives
  • Extensive experience producing high-quality business requirements documents (BRDs) and working in tandem with development partners
  • Highly analytical & strategic thinker who distills complex ideas & research down to what matters
  • Strong business, analytical, quantitative, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Highly responsive, mature, and accountable in all aspects; a trusted partner to staff of all levels in both business and technology organizations
  • Very strong skills with advanced MS-Excel, SQL / VBA, PowerPoint, and tools to create mock-ups of screens/user designs
  • Consistent accuracy and attention to detail in work product
  • Ability to plan, organize, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously, with limited supervision
  • Superior oral/written communication skills
  • Strong drive and motivation to excel; keen to learn more and assume more responsibility
  • Thrives in a diverse, multi-cultural environment
  • Experience with waterfall and adaptive methodologies a plus
  • BA or BS degree

2 Days onsite in Minneapolis.
