Job Description

Title: QA Test Lead - Direct Hire

Location: Eden Prairie - 3 days in office Tuesday-Thursday

Start: Asap


Purpose & Scope:

As the SAP S4/HANA Quality Assurance Test Lead, you play a pivotal role in ensuring the success of our organization's SAP S4/HANAH journey. Collaborating closely with various teams, quality assurance, including testing, controls and compliance, and IT security, to ensure the seamless integration and functionality of the SAP system. Your responsibilities encompass comprehensive test planning, coordination, and execution to uphold the highest standards of software quality. More importantly, we aren’t looking for someone who will just be responsible for the testing but someone who can work collaboratively with the PMO with identifying risks.

 

Responsibilities:

-       Lead all quality assurance activities for the SAP S4/HANA project, including testing, controls, compliance, and IT security.

-       Develop and implement comprehensive quality assurance strategies, plans, and processes aligned with project objectives and timelines.

-       Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including IT, master data, reporting teams, and external vendors, to ensure quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.

-       Define and monitor quality assurance metrics to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of testing processes and identify improvement areas.

-       Actively identify and bring risks into PMO strategy meetings, demonstrating proactive risk management.

-       Engage in weekly PMO strategy meetings, providing insights and updates on testing progress and associated risks.

-       Ensure seamless alignment of SAP integration with the testing process.

-       Collaborate with project stakeholders to understand requirements and priorities, aligning quality assurance activities accordingly.

-       Establish and enforce quality assurance standards, processes, and procedures to comply with industry regulations and best practices.

-       Lead the development and execution of test plans, scenarios, and scripts for SAP S4/HANA testing, including unit testing, integration testing, user acceptance testing, and regression testing.

-       Implement and utilize automated testing tools to streamline processes and improve efficiency.

-       Identify, prioritize, and escalate quality issues, risks, and defects to project leadership and stakeholders, driving resolution and mitigation efforts.

-       Ensure proper documentation and reporting of quality assurance activities to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement.

-       Collaborate with the PMO to provide updates on quality assurance status, risks, and issues, contributing to strategic decision-making.

 

Requirements:

-       Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; Master's degree preferred.

-       10+ years of experience in quality assurance and software testing with a focus on SAP (ideally S4/HANA) projects.

-       5+ years’ experience with SAP (ideally S4/HANA) solutions, modules, and functionalities, with hands-on experience in SAP implementation projects.

-       Proven track record of leading and managing quality assurance teams in complex, enterprise-scale projects, preferably in the SAP domain.

-       Expertise in quality assurance methodologies, tools, and best practices, with a focus on agile, DevOps, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes.

-       Ability to lead all quality assurance activities for the SAP S4/HANA project, including testing, controls, compliance, and IT security.

-       Experience defining and monitoring quality assurance metrics to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of testing processes and identify improvement areas.

-       Experience working with global teams.

-       Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

-       Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with a focus on driving results, delivering value, and mitigating risks in SAP projects.

-       Relevant certifications in quality assurance, project management, and SAP S4/HANA are desirable (e.g., ISTQB, PMP, SAP Certified Application Associate).

-       Demonstrated ability to organize, accurately prioritize work, and maintain attention to detail, especially in high-pressure environments.

-       Ability to independently work with multiple business units to document well-understood requirements and dependencies.

-       Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities, requirements, and project dynamics in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
